The purpose of the MPO is to provide continuous, and comprehensive transportation planning for the area. Federal transportation bills including Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act (MAP-21), emphasize the importance of a practice public participation process that provides complete information, timely public notice, full public access to key decisions, and supports early and continuing participation of the public. The Public Participation Plan (Triple P) outlines the MPO's procedures to meet these requirements.
