The purpose of this corridor study is to identify transportation measures that will improve public safety and traffic flow, reduce motorist delay, enhance air quality, and improve bicycle and pedestrian access. Intergovernmental coordination will be needed on this project since the FM 2493 study corridor is a TxDOT facility that travels through the City of Tyler, the unincorporated cities of Gresham and Flint as well as the City of Bullard.
