The purpose of the Railroad Inventory and Assessment project is to inventory the existing active, out-of-service, and historic railroad lines, reviewing the at-grade crossings within Smith County, Texas by evaluating open, public at-grade highway-rail crossings to prioritize improvements based on key parameters as defined as part of this project.
