Plans and Projects

Administrative Documents

In keeping with best federal laws regarding open records and transparency, the MPO produces reports and plans for how it conducts business which are made available to the public. Without these products, the Tyler Area MPO would lose its eligibility for federal transportation funds.

Upcoming Projects

The MPO produces three major work products to facilitate local transportation improvements. They provide notice of the projects that are planned to be constructed and work items being performed by the MPO staff. Without these plans, no federal dollars could be spent on projects in the MPO boundary.

Special Studies

Apart from the mandated administrative and programming documents, the MPO also coordinates plans to address specific needs as determined by the Policy Committee. The purpose is maintain a unified vision for infrastructure improvements regardless of the agency performing the construction.
